Death is bad.
Death is bad.
When someone close to us dies, we lose a part of ourselves, and so does humanity.
We keep dying.
We have not solved death yet. We are all on track to die.
We do not need to die.
I am a physicalist, not a supernaturalist. There is no physical law stating that we must die from aging, diseases or accidents.
Physically, we can not die.
WHAT ABOUT THE HEAT DEATH OF THE UNIVERSE?
Let's say we only got a couple of million more years to reflect, learn and enjoy life with our loved ones. We would still be much happier and less miserable than we are now.
We have no plan.
We do not have a global plan, explicitly written down, to solve death.
Not even a bad one, or a long-term one.
We have no collective budget ear-marked for "ending death".
Political parties do not discuss it. Religions (for good or ill) spread falsehoods about it.
This is not specific to death.
We do not have many global plans written down. Collectively, we do not take notes.
